The Guides

The "Guy" is a person. Yours, for three weeks.

Not a call center, not a chatbot with a friendly name, not a course with a forum. One Guide does your Fit Call, your three Sessions, and your Handoff, and answers your questions for two weeks after.

What a Guide is

Someone who uses these tools every day in real work, has set them up for other people before, and — this is the rare part — can explain them to a bookkeeper or a roofer without a single word of jargon. Every Guide is an independent professional who works with us; we're small on purpose.

How we choose them

  1. A written application — three questions and a link to something they've made.
  2. A recorded teaching sample: explain what a prompt is to a bookkeeper, then set up one email-drafting Workflow, in fifteen minutes, without jargon. Most applications end here.
  3. A background check before their first Engagement, because Guides sometimes hold your logins.
  4. Every Handoff reviewed against a written standard for what a Guidebook must contain, and rated by the Client.

What we don't do: hand Guides a script. They decide how to teach; we decide what a finished Handoff has to look like.

Meet the Guides

We're signing our first Guides now. When they've agreed to be named, you'll see them here with real first names and real photos — never stock ones, never generated faces. Until then: a handful of people, chosen for how they teach, not how they sell. You'll meet one on the Fit Call, which is the better introduction anyway.

About AI and a Guy

AI and a Guy is a Kansas City business (legally, a brand of KC Digital Solutions LLC) built on one observation: most people don't need to understand AI, they need someone to sit with them for a few hours and set it up on their actual work. Everything else — the courses, the newsletters, the prompt packs — assumes you'll do that part yourself. You haven't, and that's fine. That's the job.

Want to be a Guide?

If you use these tools every day, have set them up for other people, and can teach a non-technical adult patiently, we'd like to hear from you. Guides are independent, set their own hours, keep their own clients, and are paid a flat fee per Engagement. Kansas City is a plus, not a requirement.

Email hello@aiandaguy.com with a few lines about you and a link to something you've made. We'll send the three questions.
